<P><STRONG>日本國家警察廳(National Police Agency)今天(24日)宣布，截至今天晚上9點鐘為止(台灣時間晚上8點鐘)，日本大地震和大海嘯的死亡人數，已經增加到9,811人，失蹤1萬7,541人。</STRONG></P>
<P><STRONG></STRONG> </P>
<P><STRONG>死亡和失蹤總共2萬7,352人，另外有2,779人受傷。</STRONG></P>
<P><BR><STRONG>不過，警方人員在遭到強震摧毀的宮城縣表示，宮城縣已經證實的死亡人數達到4,<SPAN class=t_tag href="tag.php?name=100">100</SPAN>人；據警方估計，單單在宮城縣，死亡人數就會突破1萬5千人。</STRONG></P>
<P><BR><STRONG>311強震是自從1923年關東大地震(Great Kanto Earthquake)以來，日本最嚴重的天災。</STRONG></P>
