<P><BR><STRONG>這起鯨魚擱淺發生在紐西蘭最北端海灘，24隻領航鯨在沿岸擱淺，保育人員趕到時，估計這些鯨魚已經擱淺一天，其中14隻鯨魚已經死亡，另外10隻情況不好，而且無法把牠們送回大海，為減少這些鯨魚痛苦，保育人員只好把這10隻鯨魚人道撲殺。</STRONG></P>
