<P><STRONG><FONT size=4>二○○五年一架ATR型渦輪螺旋槳客機墜入義大利西西里島外海，造成十六人喪生。</FONT></STRONG></P>

<P><STRONG><FONT size=4>該機的突尼西亞籍機長在客機墜海前，驚慌失措，只顧禱告，並未採取緊急應變措施，他廿三日與副駕駛被義大利法庭判處十年徒刑。</FONT></STRONG></P>
<P><BR><STRONG><FONT size=4>當年出事的是「突尼斯航空」（Tunisair）子公司Tuninter的客機。</FONT></STRONG></P>

<P><STRONG><FONT size=4>飛機墜毀時，機身因撞擊力道猛烈而碎裂，機上乘客抓著機身殘骸在海中載浮載沈等待救援。</FONT></STRONG></P>
<P><BR><STRONG><FONT size=4>調查空難原因的檢察官認為，油錶故障是造成客機失事的部分原因，而機長遇事慌亂，只顧大聲禱告，未遵照緊急程序找尋附近機場降落，而選擇迫降海面，也難辭其咎。</FONT></STRONG></P>

<P><STRONG><FONT size=4>除了機長和副機長，Tuninter另五名員工則被判處八至九年徒刑。</FONT></STRONG></P>
